Speaker: Dr Emilio J. González-Sánchez
Introduction:
Dr Emilio J. González-Sánchez is Adjunct Professor, holding an accreditation as Associate Professor, at the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Agroforestry Engineering Area (University of Cordoba, Spain). He is a member of the Research Group AGR - 126 Mechanization and Rural Technology. His background is in sustainable agriculture and land management based on the principles of Conservation Agriculture, with a special focus on climate change mitigation, mechanization and environmental impact assessment. Since May 2000, Gonzalez-Sanchez has been the Executive Manager of the Spanish Association for Conservation Agriculture / Living Soils (AEAC/SV), and since January 2006, he has been the Secretary General of the European Conservation Agriculture Federation (ECAF). He has been appointed as International Consultant on Conservation Agriculture and Climate Smart Agriculture by the FAO in Armenia, Azerbaijan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. González-Sánchez is a member of the International Conservation Agriculture Advisory Panel (ICAAP - Africa).
